Reading
This week in reading we read the book Beavers. We learned many interesting facts about this animal, including the name for their babies, kits. The beavers build dams to keep the water from knocking over their house, or lodges. We also learned how strong and sharp their teeth must be to help them live.
Our poem this week was about the month of May.

Our weekly reader this week was called "This land is your land." Inside of it we looked at the many different landforms and places in the United States. Many of us have traveled to more than one of these locations such as a beach, desert, mountain, river, and forests.
