Mrs. Schlagbaum

Mrs. Schlagbaum is teaching Kindergarten for her second year. Previously she worked as a Special Education aide for two years at Ide (as Ms. Shawen). Then she was the library teacher for a year. She earned her Elementary Education degree from Bowling Green State University with a minor in reading education.

Mrs. Schlagbaum loves everything Disney, but especially Goofy. She also loves to create art in different forms like scrapbooking and painting. Her favorite sport is hockey and she loves to watch the Chicago Blackhawks! Mrs. Schlagbaum loves riding her bike on trails in the area with her family and friends.

Mrs. Schlagbaum's favorite children's book is The Little Mouse, The Red Ripe Strawberry and The Big Hungry Bear by Audrey Woods. When she was little you could always find her reading it to her little sister and brother.

Mrs. Schlagbaum is eager for her students to find their love of learning!
