Reading
This week we celebrated Dr. Seuss and Read Across America with our special themed days. Thank you for all of the support getting your child ready for each of these special days. We had a blast reading the Dr. Seuss books. We practiced alot of rhyming this week as each book lends itself to this type of practice.

We continued our poetry unit this week with the poem Your Body to the tune of The Ants go Marching.

Your heart pumps the blood around,uh-huh, uh-huh!Your lungs breathe in oxygen,uh-huh, uh-huh!Your skeleton helps you stand up tallYour muscles help you to catch a balland your brain helps youto learn, to learn,
and your brain helps youto think, think, think!

Our weekly reader this week was all about Dr. Seuss and his life!

Math
In math we practiced solving addition and subtraction sentences by using manipulatives, such as spinners and bears. In our centers we continued practicing sentences with our stamps. We also worked on adding and subtracting games on the computer. We played spinning addition as well.
